If you can get your hands on a Baker's Rosin, I think it's pretty good. Kaso lang medyo mahal.

sa singapore ko nabili akin... around 600 siguro pag convert. works well on steel strings, well technically it was made for steel strings anyway. kahit sa synthetic ok din ang kapit and doesnt leave too much powder.

I saw a VALENCIA brand of rosin sa JB. Comes in a white plastic case, looks way better than your generic chinese rosin. But of course, looks don't count for much

Anyone ever try this? Cheap, P120 or thereabouts, but I wonder if its just a waste of money, since cheap usually means Dust, and lagi ka naga apply/pahid, also less kapit sometimes as compared to Eudoxa etc.

But hey, on the bright side naman, I can buy three or four of these, plus a Violin Rubber Mute from Sound Essentials for the price that I would pay for the Pirastro... hmmmm

But I also have tried Pirastro (nakipahid hehe), and maganda nga talaga, no questions there....

What do you think guys and gals?

p.s. Wasn't there a cheaper Pirastro branded rosin way back, around P350-450? I forget the name, but it was Pirastro branded. Round cake thing... Now that I would buy without thinking...

If I were you, I'll stick with Pirastro.. Ive also tried evah/oliv rosin from pirastro.. maganda din..

If you are talking about Rosin investment, it is way better to stick to the quality of sound you produce rather than considering the economy buying cheap rosins..

Also, consider the hair on your bow.. baka masmaaga yan mag retire at kakailanganin mo magpa-rehair sooner..

May gumamit na ba nito? Nakita ko rin kasi may naka advertise nito sa Strings Magazine.

Pwede na rin kasi price, nasa P350-P450 thereabouts...

Buti nalang di pa ko nakakabili nung Clarity, try ko nga yung Eudoxa :D magastos pala ang ganitong hobby pero enjoy naman :D

sulit na yung Eudoxa.. @800 pesos it can last up to 3 or 4 years...

guys any opinions for the Laubach rosin? I'm planning to try it.

Yung Labach na walang Gold Dust, maganda daw yun.. Halos at par lang with Eudoxa..
Pati price nasa range 800-900 lang yata.. Nakalimutan ko na sa sound essentials//

Pero medyo brittle daw yun at madali mabasag pag naeexpose sa shock.. Pero pag maingat ka, wala problema..
