This is a nice video featuring yehudi menuhin teaching young violinists. There is a scene where he uses a glass violin to show the proper position.

you can start watching even if you've downloaded only part 1. just use extractnow, it's a free program that allows you to extract incomplete rar files.

I think I'll just upload this in youtube using the unlisted feature and with a different file name. that way only PV members can view the video. this will prevent the video from being deleted by Youtube. This was posted before but youtube removed it.

you can post videos even up to a full hour, you just have to change some of your settings. :)

I tried it already. Youtube said 10mins for youtuber account and 15mins for new directors account. They said only old directors account can retain their ability to upload videos up to an hour.
maybe you can upload this if you have an old directors account. or is there another way? a better video hosting site?
I'll be uploading lesson 2 next.

Sir Rommel, Pwede siguro gawa ka nalang ng mga copies ng DVD and we'll just pay siguro yung gastos at pagod sa recopy.. kung pwede lang po.. :D :D

Lesson 3 Left Hand First Exercises
notice how high he holds the violin without the help of a shoulder pad/rest. I'm sure shoulder pad users will have something to say about this but my general observation is non shoulder pad users can play equally well with or without shoulder pad as compared to shoulder pad users who have trouble shifting once their shoulder pad drops suddenly during playing. It will not hurt to try and learn how to hold a violin without a shoulder pad. you can still use it during your normal playing anyway.
